Description

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons raw or toasted pumpkin seeds
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
  • 1 slice fresh ginger (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Toast the pumpkin seeds in a dry pan over medium heat for 2–3 minutes until lightly golden.
  2. Bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan.
  3. Add toasted pumpkin seeds (and optional ginger or cinnamon), reduce heat, and simmer for 15–20 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let steep for 5 minutes.
  5. Strain the tea into a mug and add honey or maple syrup if desired.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

Use organic raw pumpkin seeds for the most nutritional value.

You can refrigerate leftover tea for up to 2 days and reheat before drinking.
