- 1/4 cup raw pumpkin seeds (hulled)
- 3 to 4 cups filtered water
- 1 small cinnamon stick (optional)
- 1-inch slice of fresh ginger (optional)
- 1 tsp honey (optional, for taste)
Instructions
- Rinse pumpkin seeds thoroughly under cool water.
- Optional: Lightly roast the seeds in a dry pan for 3–4 minutes to enhance flavor.
- Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan.
- Add pumpkin seeds, and if using, the cinnamon stick and ginger.
- Reduce heat and simmer gently for 15–20 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and let the tea steep for another 5 minutes.
- Strain the liquid into a mug.
- Add honey if desired and enjoy warm.
Notes
You can prepare a large batch and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
For a creamier texture and more nutrients, blend the steeped mixture before straining.
Best enjoyed in the evening to curb late-night cravings and support digestion.
